progress on "My Last Day on Earth" - first update

It has been an incredible privilege to be involved on My Last Day on Earth. It has felt somewhat like a scene from a short film I saw where the character came to a great chasm where there seemed no way across, but as the character leaps out, steps would rise up to meet his feet so that he could run across in safety. These last few months have felt like such an experience because of what the Lord has been doing through your prayers!
For instance, I related in a previous letter that the local company I usually rely on was not available to work on our project. But God provided all the people that were needed. During a trip to California He extended my network of contacts to provide additional people I could hire to do other parts of the work. So far He has provided people that are believers and that are incredibly excited about this project.
His provision has also included technical solutions and equipment that have arrived at ‘just the right time’. There have also been volunteers who have been excited to have some part in this because of the nature of the project and the potential impact it could have around the world.
This has carried over to finding the right animation studio to do the work. God has provided a Christian man who owns an animation studio in Japan. His studio is too small to do our film, but he has invested years in developing relationships with artists in Japan and knows the culture. As of this week, I can’t say for sure yet that it will work out for his company to run this project, but so far he seems like an answer to prayer for this project on several levels.
I could go on to describe many other things, but my point is to give the praise and glory to the Lord. I couldn’t have orchestrated these events if I had wanted to. I can only watch and marvel that the Lord has been bringing the necessary people at just the right time. Please continue to pray for this film as we go through the process of acquiring bids and sample artwork from 3 more companies. Pray for wisdom as we evaluate the next steps – and above all pray that the Lord would guide our steps.
